All Hills and Curves

all hills and curves

nice on a lady / not so nice

a snowy roadway

This poem was written in response to March 22, 2018: Late Snow, another great prompt at Seeds and Sand. This is essentially a ‘found haiku’, only slightly edited from recent correspondence with a talented Pennsylvanian writer. It seemed to fit this post 🙂 The prompt and poems can be read here.  And, to finish, here’s Funkadelic –

Yesterday Drifts

yesterday drifts off-screen –

a snowy moon tips

fresh silver contours

This poem was written for Carpe Diem #610, Transformation, another great prompt hosted by Chèvrefeuille at Carpe Diem Haiku Kai. All of the poems in the link-up can be read here. Hmm I can’t think of any songs about Yesterday.. so here’s Marvin Gaye singing beautifully about snowflakes.
