I Carry Rain

I carry rain

usher storms, but once I came

floating into my life

This poem was written in response to Chèvrefeuille’s Gift To You To Celebrate Our First Luster Of Carpe Diem Haiku Kai #5 Use That Quote, another great prompt from Chèvrefeuille at Carpe Diem Haiku Kai. The quote in question was from Rabindranath Tagore:

“Clouds come floating into my life, no longer to carry rain or usher storm, but to add color to my sunset sky.”
