faces flash by
on this wintry road we’re on
and stay strangers

This poem was written in response to Carpe Diem Special #120, Richard Wright’s “their watching faces,” another great prompt hosted by Chèvrefeuille at Carpe Diem Haiku Kai. All of the poems in the link-up can be read here. Since the haiku has a fairly chilly, isolated feel about it, I thought it’d be nice to finish with music that gives a warm and fuzzy feeling.
