once a chink of blue

scraped by snow-capped mountains fell

from an icy sky –

a child caught hold of its wish

fulfilling gem and then

    • Thanks, Chèvrefeuille. I still feel a bit out of my depth regarding tanka technique, really. I remember you included an excellent post by Jane about writing tanka – I wish I knew where to find that post… 🙂
