a little grief
only a breeze on her lips
and the willows entwined

This poem was written in response to Carpe Diem’s Time Travel, Ancient Japanese Poetry To Inspire You #1 little I should grieve, another great prompt from Chèvrefeuille at Carpe Diem Haiku Kai. All of the poems in the link-up can be read here. And, to finish, here’s the Patsy Cline –
This is exquisite, Blake … I think it’s one of your best. Really, I have no words.
And then ya added Patsy Cline …. sigh … one of my favorites.
Yes, she’s one of my favourite voices too. And what a great version this is 🙂
I’m still struggling to rustle up the third lines for haiku [sigh] – I had to go for a walk to find the last line here, and luckily the blustery wind was pushing the willows into each other. So glad you liked it 🙂
Very much so 🙂
Had no idea you struggled with this; it’s seamless. 🙂
