This poem was written in response to Carpe Diem #1060 twilight, another great prompt from Chèvrefeuille at Carpe Diem Haiku Kai. The Teardrop Lakes can be seen in the photo and provide a lovely setting for lunch during the working day, until you get bored with the job and bail, of course.

Oh definitely, lots of haiku moments around here during the last 18 months. And I was always grateful to the job for that – but hey, I can always visit again as a “civilian” 🙂
I think I first discovered this song in an episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer.. it really does draw you in, doesn’t it?
