twists of sun
a feather’s gold fall
in shadows, out

This poem was written in response to Carpe Diem #862 Vistas, another great prompt from Chèvrefeuille at Carpe Diem Haiku Kai. All of the poems in the link-up can be read here. And, to finish, here’s Bob Dylan –
Ah, Dylan!
Very elegantly written, that spiraling, twisting glimmer of gold! Wow. I really like this one. 🙂
Thanks, Jen, I’m glad you like it. Written after staring at Chev’s photo of an eagle until a feather started to fall 🙂
And yes, it felt like it was time for his Bob-ness to make an appearance. In fact, I was planning to include a Jeff Buckley version of a Bob song in the next post – which was going to be for the B&P Shadorma prompt, except…trying to get a shadorma together made my head ache this evening! Haiku had the same effect, I remember, when I started writing them. I think I’m allergic to new literary forms 😉
Hey, you’re thinking of shadorma? Awesome!
His Bobness and Jeff are great choices 😉
Really – this haiku is exquisite 🙂
Thinking – attempting – fluffing… so far 😛
😀 LOL! 🙂
You’ll do great 🙂
I love how you have captured movement in this haiku Blake.
Thanks, Chèvrefeuille. Another fascinating prompt – the Altai mountains posts have been a great read 🙂
the perfect twist…
Thanks, Moondust. I think I was reminiscing about lovely sunny days, so long ago… 3-4 months, at least!
