“I spoke in rose
petals falling falling…”
a firework’s voice fades

This poem was written in response to Carpe Diem #846 Chichibu Night Festival, another great prompt from Chèvrefeuille at Carpe Diem Haiku Kai. All of the poems in the link-up can be read here. And, to finish, here’s The Civil Wars –
Really nice take.
Thanks, Janice. I’m so pleased you enjoyed the haiku.
All I can say is, “ooooh…”!
Very beautifully worded – wow. 🙂
Thanks, Jen. I haven’t had a ‘character’ haiku in a while. Fireworks can be a character, right?? 🙂
Works for me! 🙂
Oh my!! “I spoke in rose”!! love that …beautiful haiku and amazing video!
Thanks, Cheryl-Lynn. The video was a lucky find – I haven’t really heard this band before but it fitted the post quite well.
I listen to Jango.com at work and have discovered so many bands. I decided to start my own November challenge at my other blog tracesofthesoul just for fun a haibun a day including a music video whenever possible. So far it is like therapy…(chuckles)
I know exactly what you mean 🙂
Beautiful haiku Blake … never heard of that group on the video, but I like the music.
The band were new to me too, but I think the song brings a new, beautiful and sad dimension to the post 🙂
