This poem was written in response to Carpe Diem Perpetuum Mobile #1 Introduction to a new feature, another great prompt hosted by Chèvrefeuille at Carpe Diem Haiku Kai. All of the poems in the link-up can be read here. And, to finish, here’s Reality (a 70s Dutch funk band, apparently; never heard them before but they’re pretty groovy) –
Each line could be a haiku unto itself – there’s so much going on here!
Never heard of this group either… digging it! 🙂
Thanks, Jen. Because of the ‘perpetual motion’ prompt I kind of wanted each line to move into the next without allowing for any real pause – as you say, a lot going on 🙂
70s funky guitar! Hey, it’s got to put a smile on your face, right?!
Definitely has perpetual motion! 🙂
And the smile was much-needed. From the beginning I’ve enjoyed all the new music to explore – almost as much as your writing! 🙂
