bookscover2cover – Domestic Noir

Another story of mine has been posted at bookscover2cover; called Domestic Noirit can be read by clicking on the link. This story was written after I had come across a number of posts about Pandora and so I felt like making some revisions to that much loved tradition of blaming the woman. The action is still the same but Eve isn’t passive, she embraces what fate throws at her; she, ahem, “owns it.”

To finish, here’s Wanda Jackson –

  1. You’re on a rockabilly binge — love it 😉

I’ve raved about this piece at bc2c but will rave again here — the revision is delicious 🙂

    • Luckily, replying to your comments at bc2c has been providing me with some introductory spiel over here – otherwise who knows what to say? I wrote this story…and now it’s written 😛

Yep, some old school rockabilly was just what the doctor ordered. And two classic performances, it has to be said 🙂

      • LOL! Glad the commenting has been helpful 😉

Believe it or not, I almost used a Wanda Jackson piece about 2 weeks ago. She’s amazing!!!!

      • The Queen of Rockabilliy, no less! I was originally looking for an Elvis version of this song (because my mum has been requesting some Elvis..) but the way she rips into the lyric with such glee just leaves it dripping with sarcasm – especially after she’s introduced it as one of the best “love songs” 🙂

      • Hoot’s a fine word. I’m now under the impression that everyone in the US finds things a hoot 😉

Btw had to take a little break from WP to check on the bats zooming over my garden as twilight falls.. 😀

      • LOL!!!!!

You lucky haijin, you — with the bats swooping – and peeping “write about me! write about me!” (You’ll have to take my word on that last part.) 😉
