This poem was written in response to Carpe Diem Haiku Writing Techniques #11 “baransu”, another great prompt hosted by Chèvrefeuille at Carpe Diem Haiku Kai. All of the poems in the link-up can be read here. And, to finish, here’s Nick Cave –

It’s been tricky lately getting three lines together, I must say – I’ve had two lines ready for a prompt and then… zilch. Pfft! But this one came from one of our lovely, sunny(!) spring days, which really deserved all three lines 🙂
And Nick Cave was an easy choice here, with the birds and capture – glad you enjoyed it!
Can empathize with those two-line blues… Ach! Especially this week. But this haiku felt effortless. 🙂
