Wonderful and mysterious haiku about first light …. thank you Blake for sharing.
Well, thanks for sharing the prompt, Chèvrefeuille! And yes, one of the things I like about haiku is how you’re not expected to resolve everything – haiku enjoys the mysteries 🙂
Haiku lives through that mystery I think
A beautiful observation of the morning sun 🙂
And — happiness in being on the rails — happiness in going away — the final line has the feel of a toast: “cheers! here’s to beginnings!”
But — that’s just my take. o.O
And that was my take, as well 😉 I quite liked the fact that the last line could be read as a destination or simply as an acknowledgement of happiness as a hypothetical idea 😀
You always give us so many layers — graceful ambiguities and loose ends — images that leave you thinking afterwards.
[quite envious here!]
Indeed the colour pink especially now during the season is still quite aptly used whether internationally or not, luv this haiku
Muck love…
