bright autumn moon
bare branches moving like arms –
the first snow (Yozakura)
travellers look up and stare
take their time like trees (Blake)

This poem was written for Carpe Diem Tan Renga Challenge #60, Yozakura, another great prompt hosted by Chèvrefeuille at Carpe Diem Haiku Kai. In this challenge Yozakura’s “bright autumn moon” was our inspiration and we were asked to take his hokku and add two lines in approximately 7/7 syllables, to create a two-person tanka, a tan renga. All of the poems in the link-up can be read here.
Great poetic dialogue with master Yozakura, dear Blake.
Love ❤ Aquileana 😀
This is the first time I’ve tried a poetic dialogue with a master, so I’m pleased if sounded ok 😀
