Small hands
Too full of big breezes –
Bright crash of a kite
###
This poem was written for Carpe Diem #590, Kite (April 2014) Reprise, another great prompt hosted by Chèvrefeuille at Carpe Diem Haiku Kai. I think I might be late posting, but all of the poems in the link-up can be read here.
I really like the perspective — the hands too full of breeze, not too full of kite. Nicely done!
Mmm I was thinking about flying my Spider-man kite when I was a kid and that fight you always have with the wind – the kite behaves itself just fine but the wind is… unreasonable!
I know! It’s an old meanie, isn’t it! 😉
BTW — the link from CDHK didn’t work — I added a note to that effect in the comments section so hopefully Kristjaan will fix the link for you. 🙂
Oh thanks! I saw I’d left it to late after I posted and went to link up, but it’s still good to keep the directions to everyone else’s haiku.
