Bleary-eyed breakfast
A dim swirl of tendrils… hmm?
Dead spider in tea

This poem was written for Carpe Diem “Sparkling Stars” #10, Tea, another great prompt hosted by Chèvrefeuille at Carpe Diem Haiku Kai. All of the poems in the link-up can be read here.
Ew — icky! I prefer my tea without tendrils, thankyouverymuch. (You have to read that like Elvis btw.) Love the humor in this haiku-moment!
Oh I read most things like Elvis, anyway – I just feel it adds something…
Though it wasn’t humorous for either me or the spider, poor guy, at 7.30 am the other day!
No doubt! Bleagh!!!
